Technique Junkies February Release Blog Hop

Welcome to Technique Junkies February Release Day blog hop!   What a fabulous bunch of 14 new stamps in this new stamp release!  Check out the hop for some sweet inspiration from our fabulous design team!

If you are here from Beth Norman's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, head on over to the Technique Junkies blog to start at the beginning of the hop.

All of the February 2018 New Release stamps are 15% off until February 8th! We can all use a little bargain, right? No codes needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.  If you see other non-release stamps you love, just use my code TJ10Lynda to get 10% off your order at Technique Junkies.

I am excited to share three cards with you today, and will be back later throughout the month with more.
 STAMPS:  Why Fit In
               Stand Tall
And here's the inside of the card:

I stamped the Stand Tall group of giraffes, then stamped the taller Why Fit In giraffe, then used a die to cut it out.  The part that sticks out from the die is done by cutting around the area that is going to protrude from the die before you cut it, then you place that part over the top of the die before you put it through the machine.  Some spatters and layering, and that was that.  You can see a You Tube video of how to do a die cut and have parts of the image hang over outside the die right HERE.

My next card uses a background stamp.....
STAMPS:  Faith, Hope, and Love Background
              In My Prayers

***NOTE:  I just got word that the Faith Hope Love Background and Image/Sentimenbt Set  is now bundled, as well, for over a 10% discount!  AND, you can use the 15% off during the first 8 days, then my TJ10Lynda 10% discount after that!

I stamped with blue and green distress inks on the background.  For the focal point, I embossed in white, then distressed with the same colors using the foam blending tool.  White embossed the verse onto strip of black, then added some black Ranger Enamel Accents to bring some black into the composition other than just the strip.

My last card was so much fun to make....
Stamps:  Keep Chickens set of 13
Dies:  Hexagon Spellbinders die set; Lawn Fawn phrase
Embossing Folder:  Cuttlebug chicken wire

I stamped and colored the chickens with Polychromos colored pencils, then brushed some color to distress, then hand drew some choppy lines around them.  I ran the card panel through with the embossing folder, then distressed it, and added the hexagon chickens with foam tape.  The word die was cut from patterned paper and layered up, then added.  Some Ranger black enamel dots finish off the card.

Thanks for coming over.  I appreciate your comments and feedback.  Now....Hop on over to Pat Huntoon's blog  for her release projects.

Don't forget, to get 10% off non-release stamps to go with the new ones (which are 15% off until Feb. 8), just use my code TJ10Lynda.
Blessings,
